Who are we ?

Each church elects a number of Representatives to attend the Synod meetings on behalf of their church. The term is for three years. Synod Reps. are automatically ex-officio members of the P.C.C. (Parochial Church Council) of their church.

Anne Lockett, Liz. Piddock and Harry Grove represent St. Leonard's church (elected February 24th 2007).

What do we do ?

The Standing Committee devise the agenda for each meeting.
At present each Deanery church is taking turn to explain what they undertake as their Christian Mission; a Visiting Speaker makes a presentation on a topical item; members of the Synod share items which are important to them.
Propositions can be tabled for debate, voted on, and sent to the Diocesan Synod meeting for them to consider.

Here are Newletters of recent meetings which indicate the various items which were considered.
